When I proceed to write down the following lines, a lot of the thoughts came to my mind: Every now and then, we hear and see, in every position shameful things and actions that should necessarily be criticized and require reform and even revolutions against irresponsible actions done be certain officials at different levels.

Those officials are not certainly affected by the October war spirit. Cease fire does not mean that war was over but means instead that "civilizations" war started. Sinai, "The crown pearl" The Egyptian tale which was an eye witness of the strong will of the Egyptian people. I, here, remember its sand for which every soldier sacrifices his blood: the matter that makes me wonders what should we do and offer to our country for a better future? Sinai is a abundant in crude materials: white sand, black sand, marble, lead, copper, limestone ad other rare minerals.

This treasure, which is always exported abroad at a very low price and then return in different products at a very high price. We always have metallic materials as well as mines which require to be discovered. Imagine if we managed to exploit all these treasure which represent a great source of Egyptian exports. It is shameful that the ex - vice Israeli Prime Minister Shimon Berez told one of the Egyptian officials that Israel makes great effort to extract copper from 30 meters deep under surface whereas the same mineral is available on the surface in the valley of "Helal" mountain in Sinai but in vain!!

Apart from the private sector initiation towards middle of Sinai cement and Sinai firms for white cement of which the total investments reached over two billions, there is no industrial revival on the land of Sinai.

So, where is the national project for developing Sinai? We did not achieve any of its essential goals; a case in point is that 1/6 of Egypt total land is only resided by 270000.
